I just found out that the podcast interview with Josh Karp, if you go to the YouTube version, has an extra 30 minutes of content in it.
When the podcast aired, I figured that some of the interview would end up on the cutting room floor, which is not a problem at all – if you have a certain time frame to work with, you record more than that time of course so that you can trim it to the desired length.
The podcast interview I had with journalist and author Josh Karp, now at the Golf Smarter Podcast, has finally dropped.Ā It was delayed because it was supposed to air on a different platform, but following our interview on Halloween last year, he made a move.
He’s now hosting at Golf Smarter, having replaced the retiring Fred Greene – with whom I had a podcast interview back in 2019 – and our interview is now available.

I was contacted by journalist, writer and producer Josh Karp last year and he inquired if I’d like to participate in a golf podcast to discuss World Golf Hall of Famer Tom Weiskopf.
Josh is a writer who has written several books, one about golf called “Straight Down The Middle.”
I’m likely going to have to start paying royalties to Ben Affleck for this picture, because every time I try to even enjoy watching something on YouTube, something invariably comes across my feed to make me react the same way.
This one is a beauty – you literally have to discount just about every great player in professional golf history to be this wrong about something, but hey, it’s the internet, so you know what’s going to happen.
It’s a pity Tom Weiskopf didn’t win more majors than the one U.S. Open that he bagged, because his golf swing has to be one of my top 5 to watch.
It was powerful and athletic, so mechanically-correct – and if you want to know how powerful, Jack Nicklaus said that the only golfer who could consistently out-drive him was Weiskopf.
