Jack Nicklaus, Ben Hogan, Sam Snead, Tom Weiskopf Were All Wrong – Ask This YouTube “Pro”

I’m likely going to have to start paying royalties to Ben Affleck for this picture, because every time I try to even enjoy watching something on YouTube, something invariably comes across my feed to make me react the same way.

This one is a beauty – you literally have to discount just about every great player in professional golf history to be this wrong about something, but hey, it’s the internet, so you know what’s going to happen.

“There’s No Fixed Fulcrum In The Golf Swing…”

I nearly deleted my YouTube account when I read that comment regarding the golf swing this week.

Now, let me preface the following observations by stating that I don’t care what this golfer or that golfer does, because we are talking about optimal with regards to mechanics here.

So, how do I make a statement that refutes this statement that there is no fixed fulcrum in the golf swing?

3 Hogan Pivots – The Last One Was The Perfect One

As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I was delighted to have found that Golf Digest video talking about Ben Hogan’s swing mechanics, because it contained a swing clip I’d never seen before.

It bridged the gap between Hogan’s early years on the PGA Tour with the early pivot action he performed then and his eventual “Perfect Pivot” action that everyone today knows by sight.

Great Ben Hogan Video From Golf Digest (Luke Kerr-Dineen)

I came across this great video from Golf Digest with Luke Kerr-Dineen presenting a look at Ben Hogan’s swing and his so-called “secret.”

I would recommend watching the whole thing, because it tells you exactly what I’ve been telling you all for years – Ben Hogan’s swing was his own swing, and it isn’t to be copied nor emulated.

I’m Going To Be On A Podcast With Josh Karp!

One of the things I mentioned that had me having to put my video project aside is that I was contacted by journalist, writer and producer Josh Karp last month, and he inquired if I’d like to participate in a golf podcast pilot to discuss World Golf Hall of Famer Tom Weiskopf.

Josh is a writer who has written several books, one about golf called “Straight Down The Middle.”

Matt McCarty – Lefty Classic Golf Swinger On The PGA Tour

I’ve never heard of this player, even though he he’s defending his title this weekend on the PGA Tour, but Mr. McJohn suggested I have a look at this lefty Classic Golf Swinger – so I did.

Sure enough, a good-looking Classic Golf Swing there, with load of power, and there’s only one thing in his swing that gives me a little pause watching him.

Nelly Korda Suffers From Neck Issues. I’m Shocked.

Nelly Korda is currently ranked 2nd on the Rolex World Rankings and has spent a considerable time at No. 1.

I didn’t know much about her except for the Korda name as she turned pro around the time I stopped watching televised golf much, so I decided to check her out after reading a headline about her withdrawal from an event with an injury two weeks ago.

Disgraceful Lack Of Competency From A Sports Injury “Expert” & Tiger’s Running Out of Spine

One of these days, the sports world will look back on golf at the dawn of the 21st century and recoil in both horror and disbelief.

The amount of ineptitude on display has been, is and will continue to be staggering until the game finally takes the Modern Golf Swing out behind the barn and finishes it off like the lame plough horse it is (and is making out of physically-fit golfers).

“If You Play Golf, Your Back Will Hurt…”

I will tell you all right now, that any golf coach, instructor or analyst who says what the post title says, has no business being anywhere near a golf course, driving range or launch monitor facility.

Before I continue this… well, let’s call it a rant, you all might have heard that Tiger Woods has undergone yet another back surgery, this one his 7th since he hooked up with Sean Foley back in 2010.  Just saying…

This Jack Nicklaus vs Tiger Woods Comparison Ends The Debate

I just saw a mind-boggling stat comparison between Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods that, for me, ends the debate of who is the G.O.A.T.

I’m not saying who is anyone’s favorite, or who is the most exciting player of all time – I am talking simple career stats comparisons in professional tournament performances.
