I Think Double-Crossed Swinging Is A Huge Factor Even For Right-Handers

I’m referring of course to the right-handed golf swing, so lefties swinging lefty would be the same thing here if you are left-handed and swing left.

But in the land of hockey, there are so many more right-handed Canadians who play golf left-handed than the average nation.

2015 – When The MCS Classic Golf Swing Was Born

I have dug up a couple of driver swings from May of 2015, which was the first year of the MCS Classic Golf Swing model as it is today (with one change from 2015).

In the summer of 2014 I had begun my “Ben Hogan Project,” which gave me so much insight into Hogan’s true pivot action (not the one presented on television and in print or online from clueless pundits) that I implemented it into my model orthodoxy.

Leverage – Driver DTL From July 2018

It looks with the forecasts that I will likely be able to get out to do some swing work either this coming week or at latest the next week, so I have a driver swing here I’ve gone back to inspect.

I’ve said that I can’t bear to look at any of my swing clips since I’ve made significant improvements to my MCS swing mechanics – the model itself hasn’t changed since my “E = MCS” video in 2017, but my swing sure has changed for the better since then.

This Classic Golf Swing driver below was a few weeks before my trip to the TXG facility to get some numbers and doesn’t actually make my eyes bleed.

Young Tiger Woods & Setup Issues

Just as the 3 most important things in real estate or property are Location, Location & Location, you will always hear my belief that the 3 most important parts of the golf swing are Setup, Setup and Setup.

Here is a driver swing from a young Tiger Woods, if you’ll allow me to point out things that would have concerned me at the time.

If You Need Proof That The MCS Setup Is GOLD… Sam Snead

You’ll all know, those of you from the early days of WAXGolf.com (after I mothballed the DJ Watts Golf blog) that I didn’t really BUILD the MCS Classic Golf Swing model.

All I did was aggregate the best elements of the greatest Classic era swingers and remove their personal idiosyncratic parts, leaving the distilled model we’ve been working with for the last few years.

George Knudson – A Model of MCS

I’d like to thank M.L. for emailing me the link to the George Knudson swing highlights that I’ve never seen before.

The quality is amazing and I immediately could see so much more clearly just how MCS his swing was.

Moe Norman Had A “Machine” Model

It doesn’t matter that the swing action most people associate with Moe Norman is the quirky, arm-out half-swing from his later years.

He had a more traditional-looking swing when he made his name in the game of golf, winning 2 Canadian Amateur titles which then earned him a berth at the Masters two years running in the 1950s.

Ben Hogan’s “Pivot Pivot” Action Was Misunderstood

It is likely because of the phrasing he used to describe his pivot, where he said he didn’t want his hips to move to the right on the back swing.

From there, you likely got the Modern Golf Swing mantra of restricting the hips on the back swing, which is completely off-base when you look at Hogan’s actual swing.

Monte Scheinblum – Smooth & Long

MonteScheinblumGolfSwing90sI haven’t been able to check out much of Monte Scheinblum’s blog, though I know a few of my Members are very complimentary.

First off, Monte is a teaching guy who has actually walked the walk (Long Drive Champion), so looking at his swing, I can see he’s not just a guy who hits a long ball and can’t tell you how to do it.

He’s also a good enough golfer, besides being a swing powerhouse, to have qualified to play in a PGA Tour event.
