YouTube Pro Says “Why Overloading Your Lead Leg Is Bad… So Watch Me Do That…”

I’ve run across this account before and have just shaken my head over the stuff I see being peddled by a guy that could be me – older, grey beard and still swinging.

I can offer one redeeming factor in this channel, and it’s that this silver gent actually performs a Classic Golf Swing pivot with the lifting lead heel, which is the only reason he’s still able to swing hard at that age.

What Happens When You Don’t Transfer Weight (Horror Show & This Guy TEACHES)

I do believe I’ve had a clip of this particular fellow up just this past summer, but I don’t want to bother to confirm it, because these people are better remaining nameless to me.

However, before you even watch this horror show, you’ll be interested no doubt to know that this gent has an online teaching business that he runs out of Scottsdale AZ, because why not?

What Happened To Phil Mickelson? Just Awful…

I really don’t know what has happened with Phil Mickelson’s golf swing.

He was one of the few players in the ’90s-’10s who had a Classic Golf Swing action, and then he began to tinker with planted-heel stuff, and even drank the Kool-Aid with the idiotic Flying Foot cult at one point.

Now, I just don’t know how a player who had such a solid golf swing looks… just awful.

“This Simple Move” To Wreck Your Knee & Ankle (Seriously)

We may be approaching Peak Internet with regards to idiotic golf “instruction,” and I really feel for innocent dupes of these charlatans if we’re not.

I feel it’s too harsh to blame people who follow them and go on to injure themselves, but really, did you ever find anything of worth online that you got absolutely free?

You get what you paid for, usually – I give out free advice but it’s mostly limited to telling people what not to do, given the current state of golf instruction.

IF I WERE To Swing With A Left-Biased Pivot…

There is something to be said about having a background in diverse athletic pursuits – I played everything from footy (soccer) to baseball to hockey to basketball to competing in track & field, all between the ages of 7 to 23 before swinging a golf club for the first time at age 25.

During that time, I obviously acquired something of an instinct for self-preservation, shall we say, or avoiding injury through proper technique and the drilling of such.

Mason Howell Qualifies For US Open @ 17 (That’s The Good News)

Thanks to the Chief for sending me the news that a young golfer named Mason Howell has qualified for the U.S. Open at the tender age of 17.

That’s heady stuff, but it’s unfortunately the good news.

The bad news is that Chief included a video montage of the young man’s golf swing, and I don’t know what else to call it except a five-alarm fire with regards to injury risk.

I May Have Found The “Ben Hogan Guide To Doing It All Wrong” Video

You can call this “Why You Can’t Learn Ben Hogan’s Swing Pt II,” because I already dismantled Jim McLean’s attempt to analyze the legend’s mechanics back in 2014.

Note: I have just finished writing this posting and, having outlined everything wrong with this video, I am convinced that this very video is what everyone has been using as their blueprint to to try to swing like Hogan, either personally or teach others, or both.  Including Jim McLean.

Ben Hogan Is Rolling In His Grave (Tiger Woods & The “Squat”)

This is incredible – I would never in my wildest dreams have traced the Tiger Woods Tai Chi squat exercise back to Ben Hogan, but here we are.

I remember Tiger Woods once saying that Moe Norman and Ben Hogan were the only two golfers who owned their swings, which leaves out others like Bobby Jones and of course Jack Nicklaus, among others.

Leaving that aside, Tiger also claimed that Hogan couldn’t have played on today’s Tour because he’d be too short-hitting, which is rich, because guess who Tiger Woods has been trying to emulate since at least his Sean Foley days?

The “Squat & Dump” Swing Looks Here To Stay (RIP Leading Leg)

I can only call this new swing phenomenon what it looks like to me.

I will forever now call it the “Squat & Dump” Golf Swing, and I will say “Rest In Peace” at this time to all of the leading legs that will be destroyed by this horrific move.

If you look at the mechanics involved, there is no way that people will be able to swing this way for many years before, at the least, they destroy their leading knee joint.

Apologies To Scottie Scheffler (The WAX Golf Curse Strikes Again)

I hate when this happens – for years, whenever I have singled out individual swingers in a post on unsound mechanics, they uncannily come down with an injury within weeks.

The reason I rail against unsound golf swings and mechanically-incorrect moves is because I’m trying to get people to avoid hurting themselves simply swinging a golf club.

I wasn’t watching yesterday’s Tour event, but a WAX Nation citizen (thanks, Chief!) alerted me to something that happened to Scottie Scheffler during his round.
