Austin/Dunaway – It’s All In The Pivot!!

I worked all weekend on the proper “shift & tilt” pivot action and nailed it with the SwingRite.

I had it on a setting so difficult that I couldn’t come close to clicking it unless I got into the right hip properly to create the “post” that is required to tilt and then reverse tilt into the down swing.

Cameron Champ Down The Line (Awesome)

I have been looking at Cameron Champ’s swing down the line from about a year ago, and it’s just mesmerizing to see how he gets to impact from the top of the back swing.

I’ll show his face on swing later, but for now, let’s just look at the down the line goodness.

A Golfer’s Dream? Hitting Drives @ Medinah Country Club

I just returned home from a fabulous little outing to Chicago, where I met with Medinah Country Club member Cory C. to talk about his swing and hit some balls together.

If any of you have a bucket list of golf-related things that involve things like a tour of the clubhouse, I could have checked that off for you.

Vertical Lift? Um… Numbers Say No Way…

I made a point in a comment about Justin Thomas having very low Angle of Attack despite his “flying foot” which is supposed to add “vertical lift” or to be “using the ground,” and I said to Joe S. that I’d check to make sure.

I had checked before, and I went to check another couple of very well-known “flying foot” club members, Patrick Rodgers and Jordan Spieth, to see what their launch numbers were saying.

Swing Video – Driver 2 Angles + DTL 7 & 4 Irons

Well, after viewing and editing the video clips from Friday’s Driver and a couple of irons swings, all I can say is “Wow!”

What a difference a setup adjustment can make visually, especially when I watch the swings down the line.

My Best Setup Yet… And The Action Followed

I did one thing yesterday when I went to work on my setup and swing yesterday, which was to get as tall and upright as I could.

It made a dramatic difference, as you will see when comparing my setup down the line with earlier this summer.

I Was “This Close!!!” Updated

Update – I actually did “get it,” but I had two sets of swings recorded and looked at the wrong one before posting.  Full details in the July 25 posting. /update

I’ve talked about my obsession with swinging as close to I can in accordance with the MCS Golf Swing model.

While adding the “full body” aspect to the right-only swing action from my last session postings, I came oh-so-close.

MCS Model Should = Neutral Plane (Why That’s Good)

I took a look at my latest, nearly-there swings right arm only, and again I was struck by how amazingly neutral my swing plane is using the MCS Golf Swing model.

There are of course three types of swing planes – neutral or on-plane, steep and flat, with the neutral one of course being the preferable one, and I’ll tell you why I believe that is so.

Xtreme Leverage Pt II – Driver

Not much to say today as I pretty much laid it out in yesterday’s posting, so here is the Driver swing shown from the same two angles.

This is as extreme as I can go, swinging with the right arm and hand only with the hips & legs, but in doing so, I also proved that the swing is indeed a whole-boy motion.

Holy Moly – Here’s A Short Back Swing W/Big Hip & Leg Action!

I was correct when I hesitated to post video from last week’s swing session, because I had a hunch about something that I wanted to check out before doing so.

I got out today and made some swings on video and sure enough, I was right!
