I spent some time at the range yesterday, and I’m telling you friends, all I’ve been needing since the long winter has finally ended is some swing work and practice time to get the “swing machine” going full steam.
I spent years thinking that the way to fix a certain swing flaw (over the top, early heel lift, etc.) was to find the proper mechanics, and that’s what all the golf magazines and “tip” experts on television are doing.
This should send a chill down the spine of all the club manufacturers, and I bet they’re hoping no one reads the quote connected to this title post.
To make it short and sweet, modern equipment hasn’t helped the average golfer drive it longer – in fact, the average drive distance of the average golfer has fallen from 2015 to 2018 (and I can’t believe how short the average golfer drives stats, to be honest).
And I have reached a personal milestone in that I had nothing of interest to say about the run-up to this week where before, I would have written a couple of posts about TW.
