“Perfect Swing For Seniors” Is The Same Stack, Tilt, Turn & Swipe – No Difference

There is no end to the scamming and hyping of this ridiculous new swing model that is now taking over the internet – this one purports to be the “perfect swing for seniors,” but is nothing more than the same stacking, tilting and turning and swiping.

Note: I don’t recommend seniors try this swing – I don’t recommend this for anyone of any age, for that matter – but for seniors, who tend to have less flexibility and balance than the younger set, this is an invitation to disaster.

Have a look at what I’m referring to, I’ve linked the video to play a little near to the end of it:

Now, when I take this gent’s sequence at the end of the video (I wasn’t going to subject myself nor will I you, to more than that end clip), you tell me what the difference is between this and what I’ve been pointing out in general:

“Perfect For Seniors”

Are they really telling seniors to get to that second position at the top, and then to squat-lunge toward the target and turn and swipe through?

What do you makes of the chances a senior could perform this move at speed and remain physically intact for very long?

Hyperextended trailing knee on the back pivot, hyperextended leading knee on the finish…

Arched backwards on the finish, to maintain balance…

Oh yes, perfect for seniors…

Not only that, here is his head position at the top compared to impact, as taken from the video thumbnail:

Look familiar?  If it does, it’s because the King of Back Surgeries, Tiger Woods, had the same move, and it wreaked havoc on his back:

That head dropping down and back into impact is death on the lower back from a vertical spine position, and more so the faster one swings.

Also proven by one Fred Couples:

Great for seniors, eh?

Someone out there needs to be sued if any seniors try this and hurt themselves.

Now, I’m not necessarily calling this man a scammer, as he evidently swings the same way himself, so he’s been scammed by whomever taught him this horrific move, but if he’s doing it at his young age… what exactly makes it perfect for seniors?

Ben Hogan is rolling in his grave – and if anyone doubts for a second that this stupid swing model has anything to do with Ben Hogan and the “How To Get Ben Hogan Wrong” Bible:

Here is what is actually going on:

  1. Reverse pivot compared to Hogan’s pivot over the right side,
  2. Hogan has the requisite spine tilt at the top that he will have at impact, whereas the imitation has a vertical spine and a big twist at the Lumbar region,
  3. Hogan has lifted leading heel, the other’s is nailed down and
  4. Hogan had flex in his right leg, the other’s is hyperextended.

And all of this, people, comes from the #3 comparison – all of this mish-mash and dreck Modern Golf Swing idiocy because the leading heel is being nailed down for the back pivot.

The game is gone.
