We’re finally getting somewhere here, WAX Nation!
I’ve cobbled together a little preview clip for the upcoming “The Basics Of The MCS Golf Swing” video that will be out later this month.
As I mentioned earlier when I re-started the project from scratch, I had decided to dispense with trying to patch together previous videos to create a new one and to use the clips that I found useful, but also to simply voice over the new parts that I would have had to re-shoot – and that would have taken us into spring or summer of this year.
A clarification as well – despite my choosing the title “Basics,” this is a distillation of the MCS Golf Swing model as it stands with my having completed my swing research with my work on the Grip (I would recommend going with the neutral “Nicklaus” grip), as well as featuring the last pivot of action of Ben Hogan in his 40s, with the very low leading heel lift:
Ben Hogan had at least three different pivot actions in his career (pre-accident, post-accident and the last one in his career), and the pivot action I have featured and taught were based upon the first two, which had a significant heel lift:
… as I not only thought it was an easier pivot action to learn and perform, but also because I didn’t know at the time that I could do it myself and therefore show others the way!
So, it’s a “Basics” video, but the Grip explanation is one you don’t want to miss, and the pivot breakdown is more than worth the video by itself (less than the cost of a one hour lesson from your PGA teaching professional).
The work continues, but it’s getting there, friends!
