I do believe I’ve had a clip of this particular fellow up just this past summer, but I don’t want to bother to confirm it, because these people are better remaining nameless to me.
However, before you even watch this horror show, you’ll be interested no doubt to know that this gent has an online teaching business that he runs out of Scottsdale AZ, because why not?
As I’ve said, anyone who gives people like this their money is a victim of outright fraud, because this is not the way you swing a golf club if you want to remain physically sound.
Ready?
Here is what you get when you don’t transfer your weight in a golf swing (yes, he eventually does shift to his left on the finish, but I’m talking about from address to impact):
I have one question – exactly how do you launch the ball with your chest?
Never mind.
Let’s just watch this otherwise pretty athletic young man (facts are facts) with one of the worst swings you could perform when it comes to mechanical-correctness:
I mean, wow… just wow… look at that footwork through the finish.
And breaking it down:
Ah yes – the old Top-Drop Spin & Chase:
- Gets to the top with a massive twist of the lower back against very restricted hips,
- Squats into the drop,
- Spins through impact and then
- Chases the finish with the upper body
Here’s the giveaway to look for in the spinners – when that leading foot twists around like his, and the leading leg hyper-extends, you know they’re spinning in place rather than pivoting from the trailing into the leading leg.
But do you see what’s causing all of this? It’s the failure to transfer weight, so he’s just lashing at that ball and spinning in place through impact, only transferring at the very end – so there’s your Top-Drop Spin & Chase.
I’m sure he’ll be able to do this for years into his seniors, right?
I just remembered where I’ve seen this fellow before – it was in my post from Sept 17 (still technically summer), titled “This Simple Move To Wreck Your Knee & Ankle (Seriously)”
Watch him once again showing you how to destroy your leading ankle and knee with a pure spinning hyper-extending ankle-rolling train wreck:
That’s right – he’s actually instructing people to make this move:
Incredible.
Another note, as well – I have been looking at the comments on all of these videos that I post, and I have a strong suspicion that some or all of these accounts are buying or farming comments.
I mean, every single time I got to the comments of some ridiculous swing or concept, I invariably find varying flavors of the same comment – “This is the best swing video I’ve ever watched!”
I know that you can buy followers on Instagram, so my suspicion is aroused whenever I wade through these YouTube accounts’ comments.

Having to tee off mats again which restrict your footwork/weight shift, seeing this bad instruction just made me feel even worse haha No weight shift, follow through, just twisting like a pretzel…
What kills me is that I solved the problem of the twisting around 2008 with the short-stop slide release.
So early in my swing research as to have been nearly overnight.
This obsession with anchoring the trailing foot and spinning in place does my head in.
Even worse, they’ll all point to Hogan, for crying out loud. And he would vomit at the comparison.
DJ where should I go if I want to move towards the MCS model? I got Brandel’s book, which is helpful. But a video would be ideal. I know you are working on a new one, so no pressure. I’d just like to dive in now for the off-season. Thank you!
Hi Fred!
I unfortunately can’t point anywhere else for an MCS type of video, because if they existed, I wouldn’t be making them myself. I can tell you however that the video I’m working on will be out likely in the next few weeks. Apologies for the delay, but I’m determined to get it out in time for people to be able to work on their swings in the off-season!
