I really don’t know what has happened with Phil Mickelson’s golf swing.
He was one of the few players in the ’90s-’10s who had a Classic Golf Swing action, and then he began to tinker with planted-heel stuff, and even drank the Kool-Aid with the idiotic Flying Foot cult at one point.
Now, I just don’t know how a player who had such a solid golf swing looks… just awful.
Here he is back in 2014, and I will note that he did have some instability in the leading foot through impact:
… but we’re talking just a little bit of twist in the leading foot through impact. He still finished nicely balanced on the leading foot despite it, and it was negligible, that leading foot twist.
Now, take a look at this horror show:
I mean, what on earth is going on?
How does a 55 year old man forget how to do something he’s been doing for well over 45 years?
Let’s not even get into this nonsense here below:
I remember that the joke about the Phil Mickelson, aside from the whole FIGJAM thing (his nickname amongst his peers on Tour), was that he always thought he was the smartest person in the room.
Then he met the Bad Scientist, and I guess the crown was passed, so I think we can all put that trope to rest if he’s following the likes of the Modern Golf Swing crowd in his senior years.
Because that is about as bad as anyone could swing and still be in the Classic Golf Swing model.
Wow…
Just…
Wow…

Drugs?
I don’t know about that, AK 😂
It’s something.
