Hint – “Perfect” Golf Swings Don’t Destroy Your Body

I’ve shown the old school Classic Golf Swing players here forever, and if you ever wonder why I’m so negative in my posts on the golf swing, it’s because I can’t sugarcoat or gloss over what I see online or on the television.

If I have already pointed out countless times how one should swing, I have nothing left to do but point out the glaringly obvious problems in the Modern Golf Swing universe, in an effort to steer people away from it.

Here is another example of what I mean, and it’s titled:

A Driver Swing Should Be Something Like This

I’m sorry, but NO, absolutely not.  If golf is a movie, this clip is in the horror genre.

Nataliya Guseva is the swinger, and I’m sure she’s a lovely human being, but she is already in the stages of physical deterioration.

22 years old and already having to wear kinesiology tape on her leading thigh, and I’ll tell you, if she makes it to age 30 playing golf, she won’t be swinging the way she’s swinging above.

Because her body won’t make it that far.

She is literally throwing herself at the ball in this swing, and even though she’s already incurring injuries swinging this way, she continues to do it this way, and she will, until she can’t.

Heartbreakingly, here are some comments on this swing:

“A beautiful, flowing swing from the take-back to the finish. Thank you for showing it to me.

“That’s the most beautiful swing I’ve ever seen.”

“Absolutely perfect.”

Redeemingly, one comment brought attention to what I noticed before Nataliya even swung:

“young, athletic, flexible and already has athletic tape on over stretched muscles…. I don’t stand a chance.”

And another was short and succinct:

“Too violent. Prone to injury.”

I like both of those last two comments.  All I could see watching this swing was pure violence, hyperextension in multiple places to make it work, and of course, already with the kinesiology tape at age 22.

Here are her biggest issues:

  1. Far too wide a stance for a planted-heel Modern Golf Swing back pivot,
  2. Far too much twist in the lower back,
  3. Driver ball position is too far back,
  4. Failure to release the trailing foot, especially with a stance that wide.

All of these factors, with the violence and speed she is putting into her swing, mean that she won’t be doing this for much longer, mark my words.

The easiest thing for her would be to have a swing overhaul, because she certainly is athletic enough and obviously talented enough to play professional golf.

But if you can’t do it for very long due to something as simple as a swing model that needs fixing and which doesn’t get fixed, barring a miracle, it is a future tragedy already written in the stars.

Too wide for a proper weight shift and no hip turn….It really is tragic what the game has begun. But I think our side is gaining momentum.

Uh,not really,no unfortunately. But I’m doing my part when I meet different players to spread the message. Here’s hoping 🙂

wow only 4 years younger than me,and having to wear tape! It’s people around my age who I think have suffered worse from golf. Using range finders that go against the spirit of the game and retard the development of sense, hybrids, cavity backs, back breaking swings….the vast majority of my generation don’t know how fun and beautiful golf can be.

Wonder what the accuracy is on a swing like that. The follow through was very violently forced. No trust in her swing and involuntary motions.

How many golfers will damage their joints, cartilage, ligaments and muscles with their bad science swings? The answer my friend is blowing in the wind.

There is certainly no let up on eager golfers ferociously paddling their canoes over the waterfall.
