Congrats Rory – Repeat Masters Champion

You all know I don’t watch much televised golf these days, but I tuned in to the final round of the Masters today to watch Rory McIlroy and see if he could repeat as Masters Champion after 17 attempts and win a second major since his last in 2014.

Of course, the Masters is much easier to watch – no annoying buffoons yelling “Get in the hole!” on tee shots, and the best part – four minutes of commercials per hour.

The last time I tried to watch a non-Masters event on TV, it seemed there was more commercial time than actual televised play, so love a tournament where you can actually watch golf being played.

It was a good battle for the win with some familiar names making runs and posting scores ahead of Rory and his playing partner, and he didn’t make it exactly easy with that tee shot on 18, but he had the two-shot lead that allowed him to win with the bogey he made to finish at -12.

Aside from having to endure watching some painful-to-observe golf swings (Scottie Scheffler’s driver swing should either be blurred out or come with an R-Rating warning, egads), it was a fun afternoon, especially with not having my endlessly-delayed video project hanging over my head.

Thanks to everyone, by the way, to everyone who has supported the blog with the download purchase of the Basics of the MCS Golf Swing video – the feedback I’ve received has been gratifying, and I can’t wait to complete my shoulder rehab and get back out there swinging again.

Happy Masters Sunday to all – the video project is completed, I’ve taken the weekend off to recharge my mental batteries and am ready to get back to regular blogging and kick off the new golf season here in this corner of the world.

See you all tomorrow!
