DJ Blasting Driver – Face On & DTL (Aug ’22)

As promised, here are two drives from August of 2022 showing me swinging from a virtually optimal setup that will essentially comprise the setup I describe and provide instructions for in my upcoming video.

This is a neutral setup, meaning you can set up this way over the ball whether you are left or right-dominant in swinging.

I actually chose the down the line swing from August 24th whereas the face on swing is from yesterday’s posting and was recorded August 16th – I chose a different day for the down the line only because the range was littered with balls on the dtl from Aug 16th and looked decidedly untidy.

When I say “virtually” optimal, based upon the way I was smoking the ball with all clubs with this setup, I will hedge and say that my final setup (for myself) may have very slight differences from the setup in these video, namely grip strength and stance width.

Down The Line

The only other difference will be in the motion – I will likely display a different pivot action from these swings, but as I have just noted this week, I haven’t yet found an advantage to using either the standard Classic Golf Swing rotary pivot as seen here, or the lateral hip shift pivot that I’m currently investigating.

I will be working on some irons that I recorded during this period, to post as soon as possible.

More to come!
