Everyone has been looking at Joe Miller’s swing, but I wanted to show Finalist runner-up Ryan Steenberg’s swing, because there’s a lot you can learn from it (if you watch any of the MCS Trilogy swing videos, you’ll learn the same things).
Congratulations are in order to Joe Miller of Great Britain, who won his second World Long Drive Championship last night (first time 2010 Remax) over Ryan Steenberg, with a best drive of 423 yards to Steenberg’s final best of 412 yards.
Joe Miller is a great Champion and has awesome speed and power, along with a great floating-heel back swing pivot, as does just about every other world-class long driver. His win is well-deserved.
I have to say, I haven’t actually watched much of the Remax Long Drive in years past. Something about not really caring anymore by the time they aired it over two months after the fact. Kind of hard to get pumped about a competition when you already know what happened.
Last night was different, and a treat. I missed the first half-hour so I got to fast-forward through all the build-up and get right into the swinging by the time I sat down.
