I have taken two driver swings of mine, the first from back in 2011 when I was driving the ball as far as I do now, if not longer (there’s nothing like youth when you want to pound it), and one from this past summer.

Cameron Champ Could Be Even Longer (Shot Data)
I wrote about Cameron Champ last year after seeing him in the ’17 U.S. Open, and he’s going to be playing on the PGA Tour next season – which means you may see him pretty soon with the wrap-around season!
Now, there’s no reason that a kid hitting it 350 yards carry distance would need any more distance, but find me one person, even among the longest hitters, who didn’t want more distance with their swings.
Proof On The Tight Pivot
In the “MCS – The Kinetic Chain” video, I continued the theme of leveraging the pivot with the “One Major Move” which I introduced in the “E = MCS” swing video.
I had also addressed the nature of how to leverage with the “One Exercise” drill with the Kettle Bell, and below you can see the proof of a tighter pivot when I actually swing the Kettle Bell as if making a golf swing.

I have a swing on video from the May session at TXG Golf that didn’t make it into the 5 drive series that I compiled to look at the Launch Monitor specs, this one being from my “warm-up.”
It was actually one of my longer drive carries, at 307 yards, and I just wanted to show how “quiet” a swing is when you leverage it properly.
How The Launch Monitor Proves MCS Model Correct
As my long time readers know, I have always had issues with my down swing plane and club path through impact.
There were two reasons, the first of which I’ll address first hereĀ – that I have a spinal deformity that twists my shoulders open when standing straight, leading to a steep down swing plane (what people call “over the top”) in the past, as well as a downward or negative Attack Angle into the ball with the Driver.
What My Swing Change Experiment Tells Me (More Power)
One could say “six of one” and “half a dozen of the other,” when comparing my two Driver shot data series, if you overlook one important factor.
Everything was the same – the Launch Monitor (the Foresight GC Quad), the balls (same facility, so the Sxrixon balls would have been the same, whatever brand they were), the same driver (the Callaway Rogue Sub-Zero), and then you get close to identical top club and ball speeds.

I mentioned a while back that, when your MCS Golf Swing model is set up right and you get the mechanics down, hitting balls at the range can actually get a little boring because of the consistency of action and results.
Consider last Friday at the TXG Golf testing facility where I was getting some numbers using the GC Quad Launch monitor – raw data on the irons can be found here – I was pressed for time and still hit two 5 irons within half a yard of each other in distance… and with less than 30 seconds between the two shots.
