I feel that my swing has gotten better in the 11 days since shooting this video but I’m working on the upcoming “Project 2018” video which means that I don’t have time to keep shooting video – besides, there will be lots of swings in the video!
All I’ve been doing in the sessions since the season began has been to nail down my MCS Golf Swing setup so I can perform my mechanics optimally, and now that I’m feeling like I’m there, I can focus on just getting in my swing work as the video project continues.
DJ’s Iron Swings – Diagonal View
The thing about hitting one’s irons is that it’s the same setup and action, just with the different clubs and of course the varying ball positions based on which irons/wedges you’re swinging.
The Driver swing should be the same, and it is, but I always differentiate it from the other clubs because when you’re hitting driver it shouldn’t be a negative Attack Angle as with the irons/wedges, but that’s about it.
DJ’s Iron Swings – Face On
I am looking forward to getting my numbers session in on the launch monitor soon, to illustrate just how much power and distance you can generate with properly leveraged motion.
There’s no such thing as swinging “hard” when you have your MCS setup nailed – there’s only speed.
So I swing easy, regular and “fast,” but since I’m using leverage and weight shift with the hip & leg action, I never feel as though I’m swinging “hard.”
It’s all in the hips & legs, friends, as I’ve been saying in the videos and the eBook.
I’m likely going to make “Project 2018” a longer video than the standard approximately 60 minutes that I strive for – whereas “E = MCS” was the simplest way to explain and demonstrate the MCS Golf Swing model, the upcoming video will have a good deal more depth in various places to emphasize the points I’ve been making for the past year.
If anyone plans on getting “Project 2018,” the newly-reopened Advance Order window with the early-bird discount will be open ’til the weekend!
Things are moving forward and of course…
