On “EMCS2 – The Follow UP” & The MCS eBook

I’ve continually had put off finishing the eBook “The Simplest Golf Swing  Book Ever” due to the video follow-up to “E = MCS” because some things in the follow-up video belong in any eBook about the MCS Golf Swing model.

Now that the follow up project is nearing completion, I will likely have the time in the later part of October and early November to finish that eBook, which I actually began to write a year ago!

Back then, I was writing the eBook to merely present a simple, mechanically-correct golf swing action that didn’t necessarily have to be the mirror image of the MCS swing model but…

A funny thing happened over last winter and spring – the simpler I made the MCS swing model, the more it became the actual simplest golf swing model I could develop and still have it be mechanically-correct!

Doesn’t Get Any Simpler Than This!

Which means that any eBook I can call the “The Simplest Golf Swing Book Ever” would of course have to be the one describing the set-up, the “One Major Move” and the other concepts that went into the “E = MCS” swing video.

So, at long last, as the “EMCS2 Follow Up” video project nears completion (should be finished and out to everyone in the 10-14 days!), I will be turning my attention to that long-delayed eBook, which will contain all of the elements in the swing video as well as the Leverage discussion and the “One Exercise” from that video along with the model and mechanical swing action.

So, when I’m finished this autumn or early winter, I will have presented everything one should really need for the purposes of building a fundamentally sound golf swing model in the form of:

  1. The actual swing video “E = MCS,” which lays out the entire setup (stance, ball position, grip, etc.) for the standard MCS model, including the “One Major Move” as well as some simple but very effective pivot exercises,
  2. The “EMCS2 Follow Up” video which discusses the 3 Major Levers, trouble-shoots the most common problem areas in the swing from a) beginning the back swing pivot, b) how to sync the entire body going back in order to harness the hips & legs as well as to “lock at the top,” c) transitioning from the top to the down swing, d) how not to “get stuck” at the 3 O’Clock or halfway down part, e) releasing through the swing bottom plus the “One Exercise” with the Kettle Bell to facilitate everything mentioned above,
  3. The eBook “The Simplest Golf Swing Book Ever,” which I may actually also release later at a physical print book.

Add to all of that the “MCS Short Game” video which I produced and released last autumn, and which gives you the simple, MCS mechanics for the short game aspects, and you will have the entire package necessary for playing the game.

It’s been a busy year for the MCS swing model, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Just two more projects remaining (the follow up video and the eBook), with a possible “MCS – The Art of Long Driving” video to follow sometime over the winter, and I’ll be getting back to the reason I began my swing research over 12 years ago… playing golf!

The thing I love about the MCS swing model is that it really is like riding a bike or shooting free-throws once you grasp the concepts and the fundamentals of a basic, mechanically-sound golf swing – you can go days, weeks even, without touching a golf club, but once you get a few swings in, you’re right back where you were before the layoff.

And that is all I ever expected out of a golf swing – unfortunately, my interest in golf began after the advent of the Modern Golf Swing, so I had to figure out MCS on my own instead of learning it from someone else.

Of course, had I been around in the days of the Classic Golf Swing, I would have figured out or been taught a passable golf swing and likely would never have embarked on this odyssey.

But then, think of all the fun we’ve had over the years!
