I hadn’t played since last Thursday due to work and being sick as a dog, but I had to get out today. It was windy and cool, but it felt great to get back out.
I was striping the ball all day, and the longest drive I hit today was about 350 yards on the 363 yard par-4 18th hole. I crushed a low bullet down the middle and my ball came to rest 7 paces from the front of the green. From there, I clipped a little lob-chip to two feet for an easy birdie.
Driving the 300 Yard 16th
I hit a nice easy driver shot on the 300 yard par-4 16th and knocked it pin-high on the right fringe of the green. When I asked if that counted as driving the green, the three other members in my group replied with a resounding “No way! Has to be on the green!”
I said sarcastically, “This is a missed fairway too then,” to laughs all around. I two-putted for a birdie.
